Trump's visit to the Middle East opens the gate for companies like NVIDIA to engage in artificial intelligence-related transactions.
The Trump administration is clearing the way for its artificial intelligence AI ambitions in the Persian Gulf through two important allies - some of America's largest tech companies are seizing this opportunity and planning to invest billions of dollars in the region. According to an agreement expected to be announced in the coming days with the United States, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are expected to be granted broader access to advanced AI chips produced by NVIDIA and AMD, which are considered the gold standard for running AI models. The world's largest semiconductor manufacturer, NVIDIA, will provide Saudi Arabia's Humain with the most advanced AI-related chips, and Humain, along with AMD, will invest $10 billion in AI infrastructure over the next five years. Amazon, Cisco Systems, and Google under Alphabet all have investment or cooperation plans in Saudi Arabia. According to sources, the Trump administration is considering a deal that would allow the UAE to import over 1 million advanced NVIDIA chips, far exceeding the limits of the Biden era AI chip regulations. Additionally, sources state that OpenAI is considering building a new data center in the UAE.
