The United States is considering allowing the United Arab Emirates to purchase over one million advanced Nvidia chips.
According to informed sources, the Trump administration is considering a deal that would allow the United Arab Emirates to import more than 1 million advanced chips from NVIDIA, a quantity far exceeding the limits set by the Biden-era regulations on artificial intelligence chips. The sources said that the deal is still under negotiation and may change. From now until 2027, the UAE will be allowed to import 500,000 of the most advanced chips on the market each year. One-fifth of these chips will be reserved for the Abu Dhabi artificial intelligence company G42, with the rest going to American companies building data centers in the UAE.
