Nvidia and Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday the establishment of a partnership, which is part of Saudi Arabia's plan to develop artificial intelligence and strengthen cloud computing infrastructure with the help of foreign investment. The partnership comes as President Trump embarks on his Gulf tour. Saudi Arabia is seeking to reduce its economic dependence on oil revenue and aims to position itself as a hub for artificial intelligence and a major center of artificial intelligence activity outside the United States. The joint statement by Nvidia and Saudi Arabia outlined some plans including building artificial intelligence factories and infrastructure, as well as training developers, but did not provide financial details. The Director of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) stated, "This marks an important step for Saudi Arabia towards establishing itself as a leader in data and AI-driven economies."
