Zhuhai reports an incident of a rotary drilling rig overturning: no casualties.

On May 13th, around 10:40 am, an incident of a rotary drilling rig tipping over occurred in the first section of the People's Road rapid upgrade project. The incident did not cause any casualties, and after the incident, the housing construction department, traffic police, Municipal Construction and Development Center, and other departments, as well as the local government, quickly arrived at the scene to handle the situation. Upon verification, the incident took place at the intersection of People's West Road and Santai Stone Road, where a rotary drilling rig suddenly tipped over, knocking down a sunshade shed underneath. Two traffic control personnel who were on duty at the sunshade shed were frightened. After the incident, the Zhuhai Municipal Public Works Construction Center and the project construction unit, Huafa Group, quickly carried out emergency disposal at the scene. The traffic police department closed off the three northbound lanes of Jianmin Road and quickly diverted traffic. At present, the project has organized two cranes to rush to the scene to remove the tipped-over drilling rig in order to restore road traffic. Investigation into the cause of the incident is currently underway.
