National Market Supervision Administration and four other departments hold talks with food delivery platform companies.

According to the Zhitong financial APP, recently, the State Administration for Market Regulation, together with the Ministry of Social Work, the Central Cyberspace Administration, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Ministry of Commerce, held talks with platform companies such as JD, Meituan, and Ele.me regarding the prominent issues in competition in the food delivery industry. The platform companies were required to strictly abide by laws and regulations such as the E-commerce Law of the People's Republic of China, the Anti-Unfair Competition Law of the People's Republic of China, and the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China, to strictly fulfill their responsibilities, voluntarily fulfill their social responsibilities, strengthen internal management, operate legally and in compliance, promote fair and orderly competition, jointly create a good market environment, effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, platform operators, and food delivery riders, and promote the standardized, healthy, and orderly development of the platform economy.
