Chris Turner, an analyst at ING Group, said in a report that if US core inflation remains stable in April, the US dollar may receive some support. This will "help foster the argument that the Federal Reserve is not in a hurry to cut interest rates." The market has reduced its bets on interest rate cuts this month and has pushed back expectations for the next rate cut to September. Economists expect that the core inflation rate will rise by 0.3% month-on-month in April, higher than the 0.1% in March.
