China shale gas wells break depth record with a depth exceeding 5300 meters.

Sinopec's Zhongyuan oilfield deployed the vertical northern side HF well in the Puguang area of the Sichuan Basin, which successfully produced 314,500 cubic meters of industrial gas per day. The well has a vertical depth of over 5300 meters and a horizontal section of 1312 meters, breaking the record for the deepest shale gas well in China. This will help promote the formation of a new, large-scale and efficient production base in the Puguang area.
