Today, journalists learned that the State Administration for Market Regulation, in conjunction with the Ministry of Emergency Management, held a special press conference on disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief as well as important national standards in the field of safety production, announcing the release of 5 national standards. The mandatory national standard "Rules for Determining Major Fire Hazards" establishes a classification system for fire hazards, utilizing quantitative indicators and dynamic evaluation models to identify hazards early and provide early warnings, strengthening the fire safety line. The mandatory national standard "General Specifications for Safety Production Standardization of Enterprises Handling Hazardous Chemicals" establishes a standardized management system covering the entire process of production, storage, and operation, promoting the transformation of safety management in enterprises from passive rectification to proactive prevention and control. Three recommended national standards, "General Technical Requirements for Emergency Shelter Places," "Norms for Management and Use of Emergency Shelter Places," and "Design Specifications for Emergency Shelter Places in Rural Areas," standardize technical requirements for site planning, design, management, and use throughout the lifecycle, effectively enhancing the overall emergency shelter capabilities of society, ensuring that people have "a place to take shelter and orderly procedures to follow" in the event of disasters.
