A research team from the University of Texas at Austin, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and First Energy Group in the United States has discovered a faster and more accurate method to repair magnetic field defects in fusion reactions, solving the difficulty of locating particle leak positions in the search for "star-like devices". The researchers referred to this advancement as a paradigm shift in designing fusion reactors and hope to increase the speed of developing star-like devices by 10 times. The related paper was recently published in the journal Physical Review Letters.
