Danone announces acquisition of majority stake in American plant-based brand Kate Farms

On May 12th, Danone announced that it has reached a final agreement to acquire a majority stake in the American plant-based brand Kate Farms, which offers a variety of plant-based organic nutrition products to meet medical and daily needs. After the transaction is completed, Kate Farms' CEO Brett Matthews will serve as Chairman and CEO of Danone's North American medical nutrition business. The senior management team of Kate Farms will retain a minority stake in the merged business.
