Morgan Stanley said that hedge funds increased bullish bets on the Chinese stock market last week, especially American hedge funds, hoping for progress in the US-China trade negotiations. Morgan Stanley stated in a report released last Friday that American hedge funds "re-entered" China by buying stocks in both US and A-share markets after seeing encouraging signs of a possible trade agreement between China and the US. The bank said that, in contrast, hedge funds reduced their positions in most Asian regions, including Thailand, Hong Kong, China, India, and Australia.
