Wuhan Optics Valley shines on the list of top AI companies in China, with the city ranking fourth in the country in terms of the number of selected enterprises.

On May 11, 2025, the results of the selection of the top 50 artificial intelligence technology companies in China by Forbes were released. Wuhan had a total of 9 companies on the list, ranking fourth nationwide, only behind Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen. Among the 9 listed companies, 8 of them were located in the Optics Valley. The selection results showed that Wuhan had Purple East Taichu, Dameng Data, Landin Share, Shengtong Technology, and Shuchuan Group on the TOP50 list, Zhihua Technology was selected as an innovative technology company, Heizhima Technology and Zhongke Tongda were listed as innovative scenario application companies, and Gechuang Dongzhi was selected as an emerging company. In addition, the director of the Wuhan Artificial Intelligence Research Institute, Wang Jinqiao, was named the 2025 Forbes China Artificial Intelligence Influence Personality.
