A 5.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in Lazi, Tibet, with no casualties reported at present.

According to the official report from the China Earthquake Networks Center, a magnitude 5.5 earthquake occurred in Lazi County, Shigatse City, Tibet at 5:11 am on May 12th. The epicenter was 21 kilometers away from Lazi County and 136 kilometers away from Shigatse City. Mangpu Township, which was severely affected by the 6.8 magnitude earthquake in Dingri, Tibet in January this year, is currently in the reconstruction phase after the disaster. The affected residents have been relocated to temporary housing and there were no casualties reported in this morning's earthquake.
