The Los Angeles Times article specifically pointed out that China has significantly reduced its imports of beef and soybeans from the US, and has turned to importing from countries in South America and Europe. In addition, several American tractor manufacturers have also stated that due to geopolitical uncertainties and trade frictions affecting the confidence of American farmers, sales in the first quarter have decreased. The tariff policy has also clearly hindered the import of agricultural chemicals and fertilizers in the US.
