At 9:58 this morning, with the command from the on-site commander, China's independently developed large-diameter shield tunnel boring machine "Cangyuan" reached a key milestone - its giant cutterhead, weighing 481.5 tons, was slowly lifted by a crawler crane and accurately reached the bottom of the starting well 30 meters deep. After careful adjustments, the cutterhead was smoothly embedded into the main body of the tunnel boring machine, and the entire descent process took about 3 hours. This significant progress has laid a solid foundation for the construction of the left line shield tunnel of the Haitai Yangtze River Tunnel.
