According to local US media reports on the 10th, a recent industry report released by the American consulting firm Telsey Advisory Group shows that prices of a series of household items, including Barbie dolls, drills, and washing machines, have skyrocketed since the US government announced global tariffs on April 2. From April 16 to April 30, prices of some Barbie dolls sold in the US rose by 43%, while prices of some Whirlpool washing machines also increased by around $80 during this period. Additionally, prices of some leggings sold at Target in the US rose by nearly a third, and the price of a drill from another department store increased by $20. The report also mentioned that products not yet affected by tariffs will soon face price hikes as well.
