In April, a total of 68,203 cases of statutory infectious diseases were reported in the province, with 42 deaths. Among them, there were no reported cases of illness or death from Class A infectious diseases. Among Class B infectious diseases, there were no reported cases of illness or death from non-infectious atypical pneumonia, poliomyelitis, human infection with highly pathogenic avian influenza, rabies, Japanese encephalitis, anthrax, diphtheria, neonatal tetanus, schistosomiasis, and human infection with H7N9 avian influenza. The remaining 18 types of Class B infectious diseases reported a total of 43,188 cases of illness and 42 deaths. The top 5 reported diseases in terms of illness were: novel coronavirus infection, tuberculosis, syphilis, viral hepatitis, and gonorrhea, accounting for 98.03% of the total reported cases of Class B infectious diseases. During the same period, a total of 25,015 cases of Class C infectious diseases were reported, with no reported deaths. The top 3 reported diseases in terms of illness were other infectious diarrheal diseases, influenza, and hand, foot, and mouth disease, accounting for 99.10% of the total reported cases of Class C infectious diseases.
