The China-Costa Rica Economic and Trade Exchange and the 3rd China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo Promotion Meeting were held in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica, on the 9th. Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, said in his speech that strengthening economic and trade cooperation between China and Costa Rica meets the urgent needs of both countries. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade will build more platforms and provide better services for Chinese and Costa Rican enterprises to strengthen cooperation, help stabilize and promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Costa Rica, and work together to promote the construction of a China-Latin America community of shared destiny. Wang Xiaoyao, the Chinese ambassador to Costa Rica, said that in the 18 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Costa Rica, cooperation between the two sides in various fields has made significant progress. China has been Costa Rica's second largest trading partner for many years. In the current world of intertwined chaos, the stability of the global production and supply chain is under pressure. In this context, the two sides should not only improve the quality and efficiency of cooperation in traditional trade areas, but also actively expand cooperation space in emerging fields. Rodney Salazar, President of the Costa Rican Chamber of Foreign Trade, encouraged Costa Rican entrepreneurs to actively participate in the Chain Expo. He believes that the Expo will provide Costa Rican entrepreneurs with rare opportunities and platforms to help them expand their markets and new businesses, and strengthen business connections.
