Newark Airport continues to be in chaos, and the US Aviation Authority plans to discuss with airlines to reduce the number of flights.
On the evening of May 9th local time, the Federal Aviation Administration of the United States announced that it plans to meet with several major airlines on May 14th to discuss the possibility of temporarily reducing flights at Newark International Airport to address recent widespread flight interruptions. In the early hours of May 9th local time, equipment at Newark International Airport malfunctioned again, causing air traffic controllers to not be able to see the status of aircraft on radar displays for about 90 seconds. Prior to this, on April 28th, the airport also experienced a similar emergency situation. Since April 28th, Newark International Airport has been experiencing chaotic situations such as extensive flight delays due to equipment and personnel issues.
