According to the investor relations activity record disclosed by CNNC, on April 27, 2025, the State Council executive meeting approved five nuclear power projects including the Sanmen Phase III project in Zhejiang, the Unit 1 and 2 pressurized water reactors in Xiapu, Fujian, the Phase III project in Haiyang, Shandong, the Phase II project in Taishan, Guangdong, and the Phase III project in Fangchenggang, Guangxi. This marks the fourth consecutive year since 2022 that 10 or more nuclear power units have been approved, maintaining a normalized approval pace and signaling a new golden period of development for the nuclear power industry.
