The Ministry of Ecology and Environment and nine other departments recently issued the "Opinions on Further Optimizing the Environmental Supervision of Motor Vehicles", which proposes the implementation of a differentiated regular emission inspection system for trucks. For diesel trucks with a total weight of 3.5 tons or more, equipped with remote emission management onboard terminals and submitting relevant emission data to the ecological environment department as required, if the onboard terminal operates normally and stably and meets the standards during the annual inspection cycle, the provincial ecological environment department may be exempted from the emission inspection in this cycle. For vehicles that have been found to have illegal emissions and have been subject to administrative penalties, the above policy will not be applied.
