General Administration of Customs: Foreign trade continues steady growth momentum, with imports and exports of high-tech products increasing by 7.4% in the first four months.
Director of the Statistical Analysis Department of the General Administration of Customs, Lv Daliang, stated that this year, various regions and departments have come together to effectively respond to external impacts, promoting the continuous recovery and improvement of China's economy, and maintaining a stable growth trend in foreign trade. In April, the growth rate of imports and exports accelerated by 4.3 percentage points compared to the first quarter, with export growth expanding and imports turning from a decrease to an increase, showing strong resilience. In terms of imports and exports of goods, high-tech products performed well, with a total of 1.52 trillion yuan in imports and exports in the first four months, an increase of 7.4%. In terms of business entities, China's private enterprises imported and exported a total of 8.05 trillion yuan, an increase of 6.8%, accounting for 56.9% of China's total import and export value and driving a 3.7 percentage point increase in overall import and export growth during the same period.
