The main structure of the Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport air traffic control tower, a major transportation hub project in the "14th Five-Year Plan" of China, has officially topped out. The tower is 99 meters high and serves as the airport's highest landmark, bearing the heavy responsibility of air traffic control. It is understood that Xiamen Xiang'an International Airport is scheduled to open by the end of 2026, at which time it will be able to meet the needs of an annual passenger throughput of 45 million people, a cargo throughput of 750,000 tons, and 380,000 aircraft movements.
