ThyssenKrupp Steel and the union have reached a preliminary agreement on the restructuring of the company.

On May 7th local time, ThyssenKrupp Steel and the German Metalworkers' Union reached a preliminary agreement on the upcoming company restructuring. It is expected that both parties will reach a collective bargaining agreement this summer through further negotiations. The stated goal of both parties is to avoid layoffs due to operational reasons.
