Merck Animal Health announced on May 8th that it will invest $895 million to expand its DeSoto plant in Kansas, including investing $860 million to expand existing production facilities and $35 million to expand the research and development laboratory. The statement says that the project will expand Merck Animal Health's capacity for filling and freeze-drying of large molecule vaccines and biologics.
