Yushu Technology responded that the robot dog Go1 has a backdoor vulnerability: It is a security vulnerability, and all related third-party services have been completely disabled.
The reporter learned that in response to some bloggers claiming that there was a backdoor vulnerability in the Go1 robot dog from Yushu Technology, Yushu Technology has released the investigation results. Yushu Technology stated that the company has confirmed that the issue is a security vulnerability. Hackers illegally obtained the management key of the third-party cloud tunnel service used by Go1, and used this key with advanced permissions to modify data and programs within user devices, thereby gaining operational control of user devices and accessing video streams, infringing on customer privacy and security. Yushu Technology stated that the above-mentioned key was provided by a third-party cloud service provider, and the services involved in this issue were also provided by a third-party cloud tunnel service provider. Yushu Technology changed the management key of the tunnel service on March 24, 2025, and on March 29, Yushu Technology completely shut down the above-mentioned tunnel service, ensuring that this issue will no longer affect the use of the Go1 series products.
