Google's subsidiary Waymo is partnering with Magna to produce cars in the United States

On May 6th, Alphabet's self-driving subsidiary Waymo announced a partnership with Canadian automotive parts supplier Magna, and they plan to build a new factory in Mesa, Arizona, United States. The factory, which will involve an investment of millions of dollars, has already created hundreds of jobs and will produce Jaguar I-PACE and Waymo's Cruise models. Waymo plans to produce over 2,000 Jaguar I-PACEs by next year, and the first new model to use Waymo's technology will be the Cruise RT. Magna has extensive experience, and the two companies have collaborated in Detroit in the past. Currently, the scale of Waymo One service continues to expand, and they also plan to expand to three new cities by 2026.
