Ministry of Ecology and Environment: Pilot implementation of differentiated periodic emission inspection system for trucks.

date
08/05/2025
The General Office of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has issued opinions on further optimizing the environmental supervision of motor vehicles, and implementing a differentiated regular emission inspection system for trucks. For diesel trucks with a total weight of above 3.5 tons, they must be equipped with remote emission management on-board terminals and submit relevant emission data to the environmental protection department as required. If the on-board terminal operates normally and stably and meets the standards during the annual inspection cycle, the provincial-level environmental protection department may exempt the vehicle from the online emission inspection during this cycle. For vehicles found to have illegal emissions and have been administratively penalized according to law, the above policy will not apply.
