The total number of passengers passing through the Hengqin Port this year has exceeded 10 million.

As of 2 p.m. on May 7, 2025, the annual customs clearance passenger flow at Hengqin Port exceeded 10 million person-times, with an average of 79,000 person-times entering and exiting daily, an increase of 32% compared to the same period last year. This is the fastest record of Hengqin Port exceeding 10 million passengers since its opening in 2000, 46 days earlier than breaking the record on June 22, 2024. As for the structure of customs clearance passenger flow, residents of Macau accounted for 25.3%, tourists accounted for 37.8%, non-local college students accounted for 21.4%, employees from other regions accounted for 15%, and other individuals accounted for 0.5%. During the "May Day" holiday this year, Hengqin Port set a new passenger flow record for two consecutive days, recording 104,000 person-times and 128,000 person-times entering and exiting on May 1 and May 2 respectively.
