Japanese pharmaceutical company Kyorin announced on May 7th that it will implement a voluntary early retirement plan, eligible for employees who are at least 40 years old and have worked at the company for at least 3 years. The application period is from May 22nd to June 24th. The statement mentioned that the company is aware of the increasingly severe challenges facing global pharmaceutical companies. In Japan, the continuing decrease in population and rapidly aging society have highlighted significant issues related to the sustainability of healthcare. Kyorin stated that the company will change the business foundation cultivated in Japan for a long time to make it more sustainable, and further strengthen organizational capacity.
