On May 6th, it was reported by the Huazhu Group that during the May Day holiday in 2025, the total number of guests received in their hotels was nearly 6.3 million, which is 1.3 times higher than the same period in 2024. The overall occupancy rate of the hotels exceeded 84%, a slight increase of about 1 percentage point compared to the same period in 2024. The peak period of occupancy occurred from May 1st to May 3rd, with an average occupancy rate of 97% during these three days. On May 2nd, the overall occupancy rate of the hotels reached 103%, with over 9,600 fully booked hotels and more than 10,000 hotels with occupancy rates of over 90%.
