Four medical institutions in Beijing fined for insurance fraud, with one receiving a fine of over one million yuan.

The Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau announced the administrative penalties for medical institutions in April. Beijing Jingbei Hospital and 3 other medical institutions were fined for fictitious medical services, assisting in impersonation for medical treatment, and other illegal activities. The penalty results showed that Beijing Jingbei Hospital engaged in duplicate charges, excessive treatment against medical norms, and including non-medical insurance payment expenses in medical insurance settlement, violating the relevant provisions of the "Regulations on Supervision and Management of the Use of Medical Security Funds," and was fined 1.0157 million yuan, the highest amount fined to a medical institution in the city in April. Beijing Jingda Hospital was fined 334,500 yuan for assisting others in impersonation for medical treatment; Beijing Haidian District Fenghuang Nursing Home was fined 24,600 yuan for switching diagnosis and treatment projects, and excessive examinations among other violations; Beijing Miyun Jinghua Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital was fined 9305.6 yuan for fictitious medical services. In addition, the Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau also announced the results of the first quarter administrative inspections in 2025, 17 medical institutions were deemed "unqualified" in the off-site inspections. Beijing Jingbei Hospital, Beijing Huasheng Rehabilitation Hospital Co., Ltd., and Beijing Sihui Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital were reported for non-standard use of medical insurance funds.
