Qishao HVDC project has cumulatively transmitted over 200 billion kilowatt hours of electricity to Hunan province.

As of midnight on May 6th, the country's first large-scale ultra-high voltage direct current project for transmitting clean energy, the 800 kV Qishao UHVDC transmission project, has accumulated a total of over 200 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity delivered to Hunan, reaching 2000.025 billion kilowatt-hours. This is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 55 million households, with 40% of it coming from new energy sources such as wind and solar power.
