According to the Wisdom Finance APP, the May Day holiday in Mainland China has ended. Stella Wu, chairman of the Hong Kong Retail Management Association, stated that the retail market in Hong Kong has seen both increases and decreases, but the increases are relatively higher. This is due to the fact that the weather was bad during last year's May Day holiday, resulting in a low base for comparison and overall growth in retail sales this year. Businesses that saw an increase include cosmetics and personal care products, while clothing and electronic products saw a decrease. Association members unanimously agreed that during the 5-day May Day holiday, only the first two days showed good retail performance, with business declining significantly after the third day. The industry is currently facing difficulties.
