Citibank CEO: Most corporate customers can afford a 10% tariff.

Citigroup CEO Fraser said on Monday that most of the bank's corporate clients can withstand US tariffs, but she warned that businesses are waiting to invest and hire until the economic situation becomes clearer. Fraser said at the Milken Institute Global Conference in Los Angeles, "If it's 10 percent, most of our clients we talk to say, 'Yes, we can handle that,' but if it's 25 percent, it's not so certain." She added, "Most companies are in a holding pattern. Some investment spending has been put on hold, some decisions about capital spending and hiring have been deferred.
