The reporter learned from the National Development and Reform Commission's "Striving for the 15th Five-Year Plan" series of press conferences held today that China's AI development speed and application scale are currently leading globally, achieving positive results in shaping new drivers of economic development, improving people's wellbeing, and enhancing government governance. Wang Ruomeng, Deputy Director of the Innovation and High-Tech Development Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, introduced that artificial intelligence is moving from laboratories to factories, fields, and offices. In the industrial sector, more than 10,000 advanced-level smart factories have been built cumulatively; in agriculture, the use of pesticides and fertilizers has been significantly reduced, field management has become more precise, changing the old methods of relying on weather and experience; in the service sector, in finance, logistics, and foreign trade, intelligent agents can automatically complete tasks such as contract review, customs declaration and tax filing, and claims assessment and loss verification, giving rise to new business forms and models such as "employee + intelligent agent." Currently, artificial intelligence has moved from single-point pilots to multi-link collaboration across R&D, production, and circulation, demonstrating enormous potential in improving efficiency, reducing risks, and saving costs.
