At around 10 a.m. on November 2, a Boeing 747 all-cargo aircraft of Central Plains Longhao Airlines, fully loaded with cargo, took off from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport and headed for East Midlands Airport in the United Kingdom, marking the official launch of the ZhengzhouEast Midlands intercontinental cargo route. East Midlands Airport is a leading express air cargo hub in the UK and the site of the UK national hub of international logistics giant DHL. With the route in operation, cargo from local and surrounding enterprises can fly directly to central England and, relying on the East Midlands hub network, be quickly distributed to destinations across the UK and the entire European market, improving transport timeliness and reducing transshipment costs; on the return leg, high-quality European goods can be shipped back, enriching the supply of goods for local importers and deepening economic and trade ties between Henan and the UK market. Central Plains Longhao Airlines is Henan's only locally based cargo airline and has successively opened multiple intercontinental cargo corridors from Zhengzhou direct to Frankfurt, Brussels, Budapest, Liege and other destinations, among which its two independently operated routes to Budapest and Liege have operated nearly 600 flights in total, with cargo and mail transport volume exceeding 70,000 tonnes.
