On October 23, the 2026 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Synergistic Development Forum was held in Beijing. The forum brought together more than 200 representatives from government departments, key vehicle and parts enterprises, industrial parks, and professional institutions to deepen exchanges on strengthening and supplementing the industrial chain, project implementation, and collaborative overseas expansion, promoting effective alignment between innovation resources and industrial needs. Reporters learned from the forum that Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei automotive industry collaboration is moving from project cooperation to a stage of joint chain and cluster building, and "jointly building one vehicle" is being transformed into a large-scale supply chain network. The forum released the "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Automotive Industry Synergistic Development Research Report." The report pointed out that the scale of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei automotive industry has reached the trillion-yuan level, with new energy vehicles becoming the main growth engine, and a dual-wheel drive of complete vehicles and parts with a preliminary division of labor among the three regions has emerged. Beijing undertakes the function of innovation source, and the city has gathered multiple vehicle manufacturers. In 2025, its new energy vehicle output was approximately 700,000 units, with high-value segments such as intelligent driving, automotive-grade chips, and operating systems leading the country. Tianjin undertakes the functions of corridor and certification. Among them, FAW Toyota, FAW-Volkswagen, and Great Wall are concentrated in Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area, and the headquarters of CATARC has formed the country's most densely concentrated testing and certification cluster. Tianjin Port serves the export of complete vehicles and parts. Hebei is becoming a "manufacturing hinterland," among which the parts industry in Langfang has already taken shape, and shared intelligent manufacturing is empowering county-level clusters.
