US Updates Travel Warnings for 13 Middle Eastern Countries
According to a report by US media on October 24, "due to the increased threat of attacks by Yemen's Houthi armed forces and Iran," the US State Department updated its travel warnings for 13 Middle Eastern countries, including Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the UAE, and Yemen. US embassies in these countries posted the latest travel warnings on their official websites, stating that the warning levels and risk indicators had not changed, but the warning summaries had been updated. According to the US outlet Axios, US intelligence agencies believe that Iran has "significantly increased" the intensity of its actions targeting US diplomats and officials in the Middle East and other regions, and that some attack plots that could have lethal consequences have entered the "final stage."
