Moody's maintains France's sovereign credit rating and negative outlook

International credit rating agency Moody's Ratings announced on the 23rd that it is maintaining France's sovereign credit rating at Aa3, with the rating outlook kept at "negative." In its statement, Moody's said the precondition for maintaining the Aa3 rating is that France can pass a 2027 budget bill conducive to reducing the fiscal deficit, as well as a decline in financing costs and some easing of social unrest in the coming months.
