Glencore's Australian-listed debut opens higher than its London closing price.

Glencore's Australian-listed shares opened above their previous London close, in a listing that will test the company's ability to attract funds from a new pool of capital. The mining company's CHESS depositary receipts opened at A$11.44 on the Sydney market on Wednesday. Its London shares closed at 582.90 pence on Tuesday, equivalent to A$11.07.
