CAAM: Discard the irrational innovation model that emphasizes form over safety, and move safety assessment to the forefront of the entire product innovation process.

On October 10, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, together with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the State Administration for Market Regulation and other departments, drafted the Notice on Further Strengthening the Management of Innovative Design and R&D Testing and Verification of Automotive Products, focusing on rectifying unreasonable innovative designs and improving the R&D testing and verification management system, and by raising the access management requirements for automotive products, pressing enterprises to fulfill their primary responsibility for product safety. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers firmly supports this measure and has issued an initiative to the entire industry to comprehensively improve the safety level of China's automotive products.
