The national consumer goods trade-in policy, combined with local supporting subsidies, has created a synergy between national and local subsidies, effectively stimulating consumer vitality in the holiday market.
The fourth batch of 62.5 billion yuan in ultra-long-term special government bonds to support trade-ins of consumer goods was disbursed just before the National Day holiday, igniting consumer enthusiasm during the week-long "Golden Week." In Tianjin, reporters observed that digital products such as mobile phones and tablets receive subsidies of up to 500 yuan, while home appliances can receive subsidies of up to 1,500 yuan. These tangible discounts attracted many residents to visit stores, try products, and make trade-in purchases. On top of implementing the national trade-in subsidy program, Tianjin has further expanded the scope of subsidies to include products not covered by national subsidies, such as products designed for the elderly, into its local subsidy list. To further unlock holiday consumption potential, Tianjin has also organized more than 300 consumption promotion activities around multiple themes including the service consumption season, autumn shopping festival, and nightlife festival, providing residents and tourists with a continuous stream of new consumer experiences.
