Sichuan: By 2030, the province will have 410,000 5G base stations.

The "Sichuan Province Information and Communications Industry Development 15th Five-Year Plan" was officially released a few days ago, according to the Sichuan Provincial Communications Administration. Under the Plan, by 2030, the province will have 410,000 5G base stations and will have built itself into a network powerhouse with nationwide influence. The Plan systematically outlines 20 major tasks and 11 key projects across five major areas. In terms of information infrastructure, by 2030, the province will have 100,000 base stations with 5G-A capabilities; latency between cities within the province will be less than 3 milliseconds, and latency from the Tianfu cluster to the Chongqing cluster will be less than 3 milliseconds; and rural areas across the province will have 80 5G base stations per 10,000 people. In terms of integrated applications, by 2030, more than 400 5G factories will be built, more than 200 national-level benchmark application projects will be developed, and the number of mobile IoT terminal users will exceed 100 million.
