Robinhood launches weekend trading and perpetual futures business for customers

As a pioneer in extending retail trading hours, Robinhood Markets Inc. now plans to launch weekend stock trading, which would be a first for modern U.S. financial markets. According to a statement released on Tuesday, Robinhood's customers will soon be able to trade select stocks and exchange-traded funds on weekends. The move will further extend the current trading session, which runs from 8 p.m. New York time on Sunday to 8 p.m. on Friday. The feature will be implemented by routing orders to a trading venue operated by Bruce Markets.
