Prime Minister Burnham vows to reshape Britain and build a "new economy, new politics"

UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham said he will "break the old model" and make Britain a country governed in the public interest rather than vested interests. Speaking at the Labour Party's annual conference in Liverpool, he said, "I will break with the direction of the past 40 years." He took aim at Britain's "loss of control" over border management and public services, blaming Brexit and privatization. He said he would build a "new economy and new politics."
