China has launched the development of a dedicated satellite for commercial space breeding.

Recently, the Shaanxi Aerospace Breeding Engineering Technology Research Center and Zhongke Satellite Technology Group Co., Ltd. signed a cooperation agreement at Xi'an University, jointly establishing a Space Biology Space Mutagenesis Joint Laboratory and announcing the launch of China's first commercial aerospace breeding dedicated satellite development. This means that in the future, seeds traveling to space will have their own "dedicated vehicle." It is reported that once the Space Biology Space Mutagenesis Joint Laboratory is completed, it will open experimental resources to research institutes and breeding units nationwide, build an open and shared aerospace breeding innovation platform, and promote joint talent cultivation, joint application for scientific research projects, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, drive aerospace breeding technology to serve rural revitalization and modern agricultural development, and contribute to China's seed industry innovation.
