Shituo Yangtze River Bridge of the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway achieves full-span closure.

On September 26, the highway bridge of the Shituo Yangtze River Bridge, a control project of the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway constructed by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group, completed steel girder hoisting and achieved closure. With this, both the railway and highway sections of the bridge have been fully closed, laying a solid foundation for subsequent bridge deck paving and ancillary engineering construction and ensuring the Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway is built on schedule. The Shituo Yangtze River Bridge is located in Fuling District, Chongqing. The bridge has a total length of 1,416.9 meters, including a main bridge 1,056 meters long, and is a double-tower cable-stayed bridge with separated hybrid composite girders for highway and railway on the same deck. The Chongqing-Wanzhou High-speed Railway is an important part of the Beijing-Kunming and Baotou-Haikou corridors in China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway main network. The main line has a total length of 251 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
