According to an AP report on the 15th, the U.S. government is withdrawing tens of millions of dollars in military aid funds from European and Middle Eastern countries and redirecting them to support certain Central and South American countries. The report said the U.S. State Department notified Congress that day that it would reallocate $52 million in "Foreign Military Financing" originally intended for Slovakia, North Macedonia, Tunisia, and Iraq to Panama, Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia.
