A Wahaha company had its office building sealed off due to arrears in housing provident fund contributions, with no official response yet.
Sina Finance has learned that recently, a property owned by Heilongjiang Hulin Hongsheng Beverage Co., Ltd. was seized by the Jiguan District People's Court of Jixi City. The court disclosed that the seizure period runs from August 20, 2026 to August 20, 2029, a term of three years. According to insiders at Wahaha, the property seized this time is the company's office building, and the seizure is related to unpaid employee housing provident funds. According to reports, the production base has now been shut down, and nearly 100 employees have been owed a total of more than 2 million yuan in housing provident fund contributions. After employees submitted relevant supporting materials, the local housing provident fund management department launched recovery procedures and applied to the court for property preservation. Before the production base was shut down, about 95 employees were interviewed and had their labor contracts terminated, with economic compensation paid at 80%. Previously, public information from the Shenyang Housing Provident Fund Management Center showed that the Shenyang Housing Provident Fund Management Center ordered Shenyang Wahaha Rongtai Food Co., Ltd. to make supplementary housing provident fund contributions for 273 employees, involving an amount exceeding 13.5 million yuan. Regarding the above situation, Sina Finance inquired with Wahaha, but as of the time of publication, there has been no response.
